GIMEX GREEN
Committed to eco-design since 1999, we have chosen to use papers sourced exclusively from sustainably managed forests for the manufacture of our bags.

GIMEX GREEN
For almost 35 years, Gimex International, a French SME, has been designing flexible packaging in paper and
plastic, offering professionals a range of quality products at the best value for money.
In 1994, the company began a strategic shift towards paper. Over time, Gimex undertook a
eco-responsible approach by promoting in particular the use of recycled materials and more recently by
eliminating unsustainable finishes from some models.
Today, 90% of the standard collection is eco-designed. Bags, handles, and windows are made from
recycled materials. Even plastic bags, long criticized, are now made from waste pellets
revalued. Unlike paper, whose recycling is limited, plastic can be recycled
indefinitely!
Certain emblematic creations reflect this ambition: in 2020, the “Lupuna” collection, inspired by a tree
sacred Amazon, marked a turning point by introducing the first 100% paper luxury bags. The handles in
nylon, non-recyclable, have been replaced by paper handles, and an interior monogram printed on
Water-based ink promotes a responsible approach.

More recently, in 2024, “Lady Belle” was born: a practical and refined shoulder bag, inspired by leather goods
and made from recycled paper. With its matching handles and ribbons, it embodies a unique combination of functionality,
aesthetics and eco-design.
In 2023, Gimex International will carry out its first carbon assessment, amounting to 1,355 tonnes of CO₂e. A figure
substantial, certainly, but representative of the activity of production and distribution of packaging. This diagnosis
constitutes a basis for reflection, not an inevitability. It allows us to identify concrete levers for action to reduce
emissions by 30% by 2026.
This dynamic is part of a global sustainable development strategy.
